I woke up super "early" today. At about 0750hrs and i was left with only 20 minutes to get ready and make my way down to the customs to meet a couple of friends before heading in to Singapore. yah lah... Though i reach the customs late, surprisingly, i was the first to arrive. Sigh, youngsters these days have a thing about punctuality. Me inculded... Rendezvou with more classmates in S'pore before heading for AJC, the nearest.
Well, all in all, it wasn't a very happening school i can tell. Science students who were presenting their projects and laboratories seemed super studious about everything they were doing. Maybe it's just a few... Then we checked out their CCA booths. Photography club, Chinese Dance, Debate society, frist aid club, Chess club and many more. Their Choir was good though. They were like - anyone and everyone 20m in radius from where they were performing would have stopped and listened, that kind. Yah, pretty good... Their library is large. Wide range of books to choose from i must say though the only drawback is that their building is pretty aged... Youth flying club was there promoting their booth as well. I'm certain i suited all their entry requirements except for the "Singapore Citizen" criteria... oh well... We were about to leave and there was this "rock" kinda band playing noise near the concourse. It was pure pollution i tell you. Frequencies beyond that of the threshold of human hearing... I was just glad to leave.
Arrived in NJC and hour behind schedule. So we decided to give SAJC a pass since it was further south of the island. Anyway, we entered the "NJC walk" and were greeted with goodie bags. Prettie interesting method of moving around NJ. We had to follow a layed out map that was given and had to visit various stations in order to collect and complete the full goodie bag... Canoers came up to me and another friend to ask if we were in any way interested in Kayaking or Canoeing and if so, kindly fill up a contact form. Yah, you can say i have a passion for aquatic sports and am deprive of opportunities. Curiously i filled the form just for the fun of it... We headed for the Shooting stations. Oh yah, surely i shot rounds at little targeting cards. I played both air rifle and gun. Really cool. I figured we had spent at least an hour at that station considering the fact that we moved in a group taking turns to shoot... Yeeps, their campus is huge and it's nice to know they have their own "radio station" over the PA system... By the time we explored it's entire area, we were 'fatiguified' mentally...
Honestly, i'm not being biased here. I entered the premises of these two JC's with equal expectations. The above mentioned are simply my first impressions for today...
Went to pastamania in junction 8 for lunch and filled ourselves with cheese... Then headed home. I just waiting for ACJC's next week... ha...
